Our School Day
In Term 3 2024 we are trialling a new break timetable that allows our students to have a more even spread of outside the classroom time and in the classroom time. The St Martins school day is structured like this:
- 8.30 am: First bell rings and school opens. Classrooms are accessible
Learning session 1: 8.50 – 9.50
- Grab & Go break 1: 9.50 – 10.10
Learning session 2: 10.10 – 11.10
- Grab & Go break 2: 11.10 – 11.30
Learning session 3: 11.30 – 12.30
- Lunch: 12.30 – 12.55 / Eating: 12.55 – 1.05
Learning session 4: 1.05 – 2.00
- Little play: 2.00 – 2.10
Learning session 5: 2.10 – 3.00
It is important that students arrive at school on time. It is our expectation that students will be at school, unpacked, and ready to start school at 8.50am. Regular lateness affects a child’s ability to learn, as well as the smooth running of the class. We ask that you make the effort to be punctual for the sake of your own children and others in the class. If you are going to be late, please call the office. The school office is open each day from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
