Hi, I’m Gareth Sleeman. I have three children currently attending St Martins School, I bring many skills and experience to the board that I hope will benefit the school. I run an engineering business here in Christchurch and take an active role across all areas including health and safety, HR, finance, strategy, culture, and marketing. I also hold a degree in Applied Management, majoring in Business Transformation and Strategic Management. I’m a member of the Institute of Directors and have a real interest in good governance. I’m actively involved in their professional development programmes and enjoy learning more about how strong governance can support positive outcomes for organisations and communities. What matters most to me is supporting a school environment where students can thrive, staff feel valued, and parents are connected and engaged. I believe in the values the school stands for and would be proud to contribute in a way that helps build on the great work already being done. I’m not coming in with an agenda — just a genuine interest in getting involved and being useful where I can.
