How to purchase St Martins School Uniform 

Please email your uniform order to: office@stmartins.school.nz or call us on (03) 3326121 and the office will put items aside for you. Payment should be made via the school bank account (ASB 12-3240-0111723-00) or by cash or Eftpos on collection from the school office.

We hold samples in the school office. If you need help with sizing, pop in anytime between 9.30-2pm weekdays.

Dress code:

Regulation uniform must be worn in a clean and tidy condition at all times.

  • Hair should be worn in a practical style appropriate for school. Long hair neatly tied back.
  • Hair accessories (ties and clips) should be in keeping with school colours – blue, red, black, or white.
  • Jewellery: Ear studs and watches only please.
  • The right for children to wear Taonga or items of religious significance will be respected.
  • Make-up including nail polish is not permitted.
  • The school bucket hat is compulsory in Terms 1 and 4. They must be worn whenever students are outside and involved in school activities.
  • Students playing in interschool sports competitions (year 5-8) are encouraged to wear correct sports uniform at all times. Uniform for most sports can be loaned for use.
  • Sports and house t-shirts are available to purchase in the school office
  • All uniform items should be clearly named. Lost property can be reclaimed from the school office.
  • Temporary exemptions from uniform require a letter from a parent or caregiver.
  • The final decision on all matters relating to the uniform resides with the Principal.
Compulsory Uniform:
  • Polo Shirt
  • Polarfleece Jacket
  • Senior soft shell Jacket (for year 7 and 8 only)
  • Bucket Hat
  • Either Unisex Short or Girls Skort
  • Ankle or knee high socks (navy or black)
  • Shoes – must be suitable for outside play. No jandals, crocs etc
  • Hair – tied up if longer than shoulder length
Optional Uniform:
  • Girls Summer Dress – in royal blue gingham, Terms 1 and 4 only (Available from The Warehouse website)
  • Beanie (Soft Acrylic Cable-knit)

Second Hand Uniform sales

Second hand uniforms are sold via the PTA who run a second-hand uniform sales multiple times per year. Donations of uniform can be dropped at the school office during opening hours. 100% of sales go back into the school to purchase resources. Notification of sale dates will be made via our communications portals (Facebook, email etc).
